Position Overview

The System Administrator maintains computing environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring system performance, managing system users, working with business web applications, task automation, manage telecom systems, providing technical support, ensuring high level of security on servers and workstations.

Corporate Structure

The IT System Administrator is to be part of the home office team to work in conjunction with others to:

  • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative


The System Administrator will report directly to the Vice President of IT Services.

Primary Duties

  • Automate Windows server-based workflows using in-depth PowerShell knowledge
  • Scripting knowledge for web-based application API calls, for automating processes
  • Adept at working with cloud-based business applications
  • Working implementation knowledge of SSO, ADFS, and associated services
  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers,emailsystems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems
  • Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights
  • Partner with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements
  • Working knowledge of:
    PowerShell, Process Workflows, APIs, SSO, ADFS, WSUS, File Server, Group Policy, Active Directory,User
    Access Control, Licensing, DNS, Virtual Machine Management, Data Backup, Client Application Support, Print Services, ClientSecurity, Log Monitoring, Server Maintenance.


Knowledge of networking and associated ports, protocols, and stacks.
  • Knowledge of Database configurations.
  • Working of databases and associated query languages
  • Knowledge of Hyper-V Virtualization Systems.


Other Duties

  • Prepares customers by designing, and conducting training programs, providing eferences and support.
  • Provide telecom support; Installation of new services; Contacting vendors.
  • Answering technical queries and providing customer service
  • Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
  • Applying operating systems, patches, and configuration changes.
  • Workstation imaging
  • User onboarding
  • Implementation and maintenance of asset management systems both at the corporate office and remote facilities.
  • Collection and analysis of company IT asset data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

Works in office environment.
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • May work beyond normal working hours.
  • Travel to offsite locations as needed.
  • Often spends time working independently.


Education and Experience

  • B.S. degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 4 years prior Information Technology experience required
  • Experience in a health care environment preferred
  • Microsoft Certification preferred


Specific Requirements

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must maintain strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
  • Must have a solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodology.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.


Essential Functions

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift 50 pounds, push, pull, stoop, walk and move intermittently during work hours.
  • Must practice regular and dependable attendance.
  • Must be able to concentrate and use reasoning skills and judgment.
